I felt the need to stay in touch with my business through the Internet while on the ride. I brought along my Gateway 2000 laptop computer and used the cellular telephone connection to access the Internet to check email regularly. It worked some of the time - but SLOOOOOOWWWW ! Cellular service in general was pretty poor in rural Iowa. The images below show me on a couple of my attempts to stay wired.
