The following are the six ships of the US Navy in which I served during career from September, 1956 until retirement on 1 April 1981.



1956 - USS WISCONSIN (BB-64) -- Midshipman 3/c - Served in all departments. Deployed out of Norfolk, VA. Transited the Panama Canal and visited Valparaiso, Chili.



1959 - USS LEXINGTON (CVA-16) - Midshipman 1/c - Served in all departments. Deployed to Western Pacific and visited many ports.



1960-63 - USS PHILIP (DD-498) - Ensign/LTJG - Served in engineering departments as R Division Officer and Damage Control Assistant. Deployed to Western Pacific and visited many ports.



1966-68 - USS HOEL (DDG-13) - Lieutenant - Served as Operations Department Head. Deployed to Western Pacific and spent many months supporting US operation in Vietnam.



1972-74 - USS BARBEY (FF-1088) - Lieutenant Commander - Served as Executive Officer - New Construction. Spent many months in shipyard, visited Portland Oregon, and deployed to Hawaii on shakedown cruise.



1975-77 - USS BRADLEY (FF-1041) - Lieutenant Commander/Commander - Served as Commanding Officer. Deployed to Western Pacific, visited Bunbury Australia, and conducted a solo circumnavigation of the Indian Ocean - visited many ports including Bondar Abbas Iran, Mombassa Kenya, Panang Malaysia and Singapore.
